Former Secretary General of the Port of Trieste (2000-2004) graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Torino. Since many years she is working on the reuse and development of the port of Trieste, logistics and intermodal, cultural heritage, on industrial and reuse of historic international ports. She develops relationships and a lot of technical contacts with italian and international ports as Rotterdam, Bremen, Bremenhaven, Hamburg, Cape Town, Sydney, Melbourne as well as with the major terminal operators and shipping companies such as Eurogate and Evergreen. She is a member of AIVP (the worldwide network of port cities). She has published several books about the Port of Trieste, the historic buildings, the Trieste Kunstgewerbeschule. Since many years she studies the development of the international waterfront corporations. She was President of Italia Nostra, sezione di Trieste, ministerial member of the Miramare Marine Reserve (2001/2005). In Turin she cooperatde with the Institute of Technology built environment, the Laboratory of Environmental Cybernetics Institute of the Faculty of Architecture Alvar Aalto in Turin. Professor of marine equipments in the Technical Maritime Institute in Trieste, and contractor professor (economic geography-port systems) at the Faculty of International Diplomatic Sciences of Gorizia (Trieste University, 2002-2004). She cooperated with the Old Port Company of Trieste. Recently she was appointed Honorary Inspector for Cultural Heritage by Ministry of Heritage and Culture.
